Lauren bought a bag of colored shells yesterday at an outdoor market in Aransas Pass. I couldn't resist taking a few shots of all the bright colors.

001/366 (The Sunless Rise)

I was out early this morning with hopes to photograph the first sunrise of 2012. Well, it turned out to be a very overcast morning and the sun rose behind the thick cloud coverage. I was a little disappointed but then realized that not everything goes according to plan.
This is a new year with new visions and goals for our family. Although sometimes a temporary dark cloud may hinder our plans we will look forward and remember that the bright of day is right behind and, yes, the sun will shine.
